WHEN SPEAKING ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE, WE ALL CAN BE CATALYSTS FOR CHANGE.

The European Union is playing an active role in tackling this challenge: the EYESYOUTHCLIMATE project is one example of how people can be empowered to play a part that makes a difference!
According to Copernicus EU, the Earth Observation component of the European Union’s, 2022 has been one of the hottest years ever, and global warming is increasingly evident. Greenhouse gas emissions, produced by human activities, are the main cause. The global temperatures have risen by nearly 1°C since the 19th century, and if they rise by another 2°C, we could face dangerous consequences. It is therefore essential to keep warming below 2°C. The European Union is one of the world’s largest producers of greenhouse gases, but it also plays a key role in international climate negotiations. It has committed to reducing emissions by 55 percent by 2030 and achieving climate neutrality by 2050. So the European Union as an institution is active in the fight against climate change, but each of us can do our part, because every gesture, big or small, counts.
